Piggly Wiggly Coupon Shopping Trip This Week

November 6, 2010 by iGoBOGO

I needed to stock up on Ground Beef and it was on sale for $1.88/lb at Piggly Wiggly so I decided to stop in & get some.  My Piggly Wiggly Store doubles coupons up to $.99/each, so I also went through my coupons to find some with high values to see what deals I could find at the store.

Here are some of the deals I found:

Heinz Ketchup was on sale for $1.79, I use the coupon for $.75/1(which doubled) to get them for $.29/each!

10 Packs of Bumblebee Tuna priced at $.99/each.  I used 10 coupons for $.55/each which should have made them free, but the cashier suppressed the double on them.  I think they said do not double, but didn’t notice until I was in the car so couldn’t check.  I ended up getting them for $.45/each though which is still good.

Sweet Potatoes were on sale for $.59/lb.  I got a huge mess of them for less than $3.00.

Oscar Mayer Bologna was on sale for $1.50/each.  I used a coupon for $1.00 off 2 to get them for $1.00/pack.

They had big bags of Collard greens marked down to $.65/each for quick sale.  I grabbed one of them to go with a supper this week.

I got 3 packs of Ground Beef at $1.88/lb – Great Price!

Bryan Cocktail Smokies were on sale for $1.99 so I grabbed 6 of them with coupons for $1.00 off making them $.99/each.

There were also packs of Bryan Bacon marked down for quick sale for $1.69 a pack so I picked up a pack of that too.

I also got an 8 lb bag of Russett Potatoes for $2.99/each.

When all was said & done I ended up spending about $40, but I felt like I got some really great deals and am stocked up on Ground Beef & potatoes for a while:)

I plan to use these potatoes for freezer cooking as well as my family meal plan this week.

By the way, I know I haven’t done Piggly Wiggly Matchups for a while.  Is anyone still interested in seeing Piggly Wiggly Deals?  If so let me know in the comments!
