My Publix Trip this week + a Contest

March 31, 2010 by iGoBOGO

pubtrip0328

How about something a little different this week with my shopping trip post? You may or may not know that my family has been sick for a while now & shopping has been non-existent for the past few weeks.

However, I was able to go this weekend & do a shopping trip.  You can see everything I got in the picture.

I thought I’d do a little something fun this week & have a contest to go with this post.

I am so excited to be giving away one of my favorite cookbooks to one reader. The $5 Dollar Dinner Mom Cookbook is not only packed full of awesome recipes to feed  your family for $5.00 per dinner, but it has great grocery shopping & meal planning advice too.

Here’s what you have to do to win…The person who can guess closest to the total amount I paid (before taxes) for all the groceries in the picture will win.  Leave your answer in the comments & I will choose a winner on Monday April the 5th.

Note: If there is a tie I will use random.org to choose the winner.

I’ve never heard of that book, but I think it’s one worth checking out. If we could lower our budget to five $5 meals a week for our family of 5 I would be beyond excited. So, with that in mind I will guess $45 for 7 dinners and 2 lunches at $5 each
