Holiday Baking Party

December 25, 2010 by iGoBOGO

One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season is to make lots of goodies. My kiddos & hubby love it too!  I usually try to make some type of sweet treat each day during the week of Christmas.

Something that I really love to do is include my kids and other family members in on the fun! It is so much fun making lots of delicious goodies with friends and family.

I was recently asked by Collective Bias to host a Holiday Baking Party with friends & family using Conagra Products and a fabulous Hamilton Beach Blender! I think this is such a fun idea so of course I’m all in. I immediately went to planning, and had a fun shopping trip to Walmart to purchase supplies such as Parkay, Peter Pan, Wesson, PAM, Swiss Miss Cocoa, & Reddi-Wip.

We made lots of great things like:

  • No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

These have been a family favorite for years. My grandmother always use to make them for us. They are so easy & really good. I used the No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Recipe found here, but I used squeeze Parkay, soy nut butter and soy milk so my whole family could enjoy them. Oh how I would have loved to use the Peter Pan Peanut Butter instead!

  • Easy Chocolate Cheesecake Bites

These were supposed to be Cheesecake Lollipops, but my Walmart was out of the lollipop sticks so I improvised.  These were so good and really easy.  I used a no-bake premade cheesecake and added some Swiss Miss Cocoa to give it a Chocolate Cheesecake flavor.  Once it set I just spooned it into balls, rolled it in the Graham Cracker Crust, and froze on a cookie sheet.   Once Frozen they were dipped them into melted chocolate to complete…So good!

  • Kid’s Christmas Tree Cupcakes

The kids had so much fun making these.  We used a mix with no dairy or eggs so that all my kiddos would be able to enjoy them.  Thank goodness for Parkay in the squeeze bottle!  It’s inexpensive and has no dairy so I use it all the time when cooking for my kiddos including my 4 yr old with milk allergies.    We decorated them with Christmas Trees made out of Colorful Twizzlers and Fruit Juice Snacks.

  • Christmas Doughnuts

These were really easy and fun to make. We just cut holes in refrigerated biscuits and fried them in a little Wesson Oil! Once they were done we rolled them in sugar. This was such a simple recipe, but ended up being very good!

  • Frozen Vanilla Mocha

This was one of my favorite treats. I am a huge coffee lover, and frozen coffee with Reddi-Wip…Yummy! I brewed some coffee the day before and froze in ice trays to make this treat. I used my fabulous Hamilton Beach Blender to make them which did an awesome job without leaving any ice chunks. We added about a cup of milk, 1 Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Packet, and a tablespoon of french vanilla to make this delicious drink! Of course, to top it off we added some Reddi-Wip! These were so good..My hubby absolutely loved them!
