I came across this interesting story on Fox News this morning. Apparently a mother of 8 who uses coupons regularly was denied the use of her coupons at a Kroger store in Atlanta(allegedly).
The reason? —- Because she is a habitual coupon user! See the footage here:
While I do think that 20 Body Washes is a little excessive (yes even for a family of 10), the store manager could have merely restricted her quantities rather than disallowing her from using her coupons completely.  I don’t know the exact details or the shopping habits of this particular woman but I thought this was an interesting story nonetheless.
What do you think?
If you use coupons be sure to practice the Golden Rules of Couponing and I’m sure you’ll be just fine:)
I saw that on our news…I would be finding another store to shop.
thats crazy
if it is true I think it is very rude of a manager to say and do something like that. now it is the store right to limit the amount of items she can buy with coupons and i am surprised they didn’t do that instead.
Exactly, I agree totally. They have a right to restrict quantities and he could have done that nicely.
Disclaimer: I didn’t watch the video mainly because I saw the word “Kroger”. I gave them up for good earlier this year. It wasn’t worth my quality of life to deal with there ever-changing coupon policies and lack of customer service. I’m a Publix-only girl now. They accept my coupons with a smile, their policies are consistent, and the customer service is top notch! Kroger needs to get a clue.
I am with you Staci! It is definitely a pleasure to shop at Publix.
