oreopumpkins

My kids are always looking for something fun and crafty to do.  They also love Oreos and any other kind of sweet treat.  These Easy Oreo Pumpkins are really fun to create as a family.  Even the younger kiddos can help place the stems and the leaves!  Check out how easy it is in the instructions below.

First you will need to gather a few supplies and ingredients.  You can get the Melting Wafers and Green Chocolate covered sunflower seeds from Joann Fabrics or another craft store.  If you have time for them to ship you can also order them from Amazon.

The next thing you’ll want to do is melt the wafers.  In a small microwave safe bowl, melt all your orange chocolate wafers on 50% heat, in 30 second intervals until melted completely, stirring in between.  Then place the melted chocolate and other supplies strategically within an arm’s reach.

Now for the fun and kinda messy part.  The kids will love this part.  Dip the Oreos one at at time into the chocolate and place on parchment paper.

Doesn’t that look yummy??  But, hold on, we aren’t done yet.  They don’t look like pumpkins, just orange balls.  Now, while they are still a little melty place a pretzel stick and green seed onto each oreo.  Put it in the fridge for a little while to harden and voila..Pumpkin Oreos!
