Update: Congratulations to Vincenza as the winner of this great prize! I will be contacting the winner by email.
I’m excited to tell you about a great event coming up soon. The Great Kindness Challenge will take place on Saturday, August the 14th. Kids For Peace started the Great Kindness Challenge in order to help make the world a kinder, more compassionate place.
If you have a child this would be a great opportunity to be a good example to them, and urge them to do a kind act for the Great Kindness Challenge. If you’d like some ideas you can go check out the Great Kindness Challenge Checklist here.
In partnership with the Great Kindness Challenge Kind Snacks is offering a great prize for you guys to encourage my readers to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge
One lucky reader will get a Kind Cube full of 20 Kind Healthy Snack Bars. This is perfect for back to school. Kind Sent me some bars to try and we loved them! I especially loved the fact that they are Dairy free for my milk allergy kiddo. It’s really difficult to find Healthy yet convenient snacks for him.
It’s easy to enter, just tell me in the comments what “Kind” act you’d like to do for the Great Kindness Challenge on August the 16th. You can also get an extra entry by “liking” The Great Kindness Challenge and iGoBOGO on Facebook.
I will choose a winner on Sunday evening 8/8 — good luck!
We intend to share our veggie garden harvest with our family and neighbors 🙂
This is exciting stuff here, I had no idea The Great Kindness Challenge existed, and now I am going to introduce to my two boys to it. My kids are very kind little men to be, and I am very proud of them. I will show kindness on Monday the 16th as much as I can by smiling at people, holding doors for people and picking up trash I come upon. These are things my kids and I normally do on a regular basis, so I hope we are doing our part to be kind to others. Perhaps we can each find something real special to be kind on that day, we will do our best! I think kindness is contagious so go spread it around. 🙂
My sons always pick up sticks from our neighbors yard after a storm or high winds. She is a elderly woman and they love going and helping her!
I think we may have a free snow cone stand that day in our neighborhood!
Visit the nursing home and childrens hospital, maybe take a card game like Uno. Everybody young and old likes Uno.
I’m so glad I found this today. I have been wanting to take my kids for a long time and just never have done it. This is what I needed to give me a swift kick in the backside! 🙂
We donate school supplies to families in our school district who cannot afford them.
We’ve volunteered to babysit for a friend who is having surgery soon. This way his son can come over and play with our son instead of being dragged to all his dad’s doctor appointments.
If we get this, I would actually use it for the kindness project. Our church supports the local food pantry so I would donate these to the food pantry.
We (the kids and I) will make cards for a family member who has cancer.
My son and I are going to volunteer at a charity thrift store. We did this over the holidays and he loved helping other people.
We will go donate food to the food pantry and clothing to the shelter.
I also liked the The Great Kindness Challenge and iGoBOGO on Facebook.
For my act of kindness, I will share a smile with those that I meet. I believe its the little things that add up most.
I always let seniors pass in front of me in the grocery line. It’s far easier for me to wait and not as uncomfortable plus I feel good about doing it.
My children are going to donate some of their gently used books to a neighborhood daycare center.
We are going to try to donate some school supplies this year!
Like you and the challenge on facebook! thanks!
Hi, this year I was able to donate enough school supplies for 20 needy kids in my local school district!
I’m a LIKER of both The Great Kindness Challenge and iGoBOGO on Facebook
I help the children sort out the food cans and extras we have in our stack and we bring them to our local church.Giving is the best thing of all and i like to teach this to our kids :))
we donate to the food pantry and we help at the local homeless shelter
I like IGOBOGO and the great kindness challenge on facebook.
My sons and I have volunteered by occasionally giving $5 towards the next purchase of who ever is behind us in the store, McDonalds etc- we also feed the homeless as well as extra food after parties I go through the alleys to give those homeless to don’t usually come out. My sons have helped neighbors with their yard (single elder man & single mom with two children) I have made a little extra food, my sons take it over to elder man. We volunteer anyway we can.
We are going to have a Freezer Meal exchange, and have everyone make an extra meal to stock up for Moms who are having a baby, or have sick kiddos, or just need an extra hand.
