We are definitely a plugged in family.  Bryan and I both have technical backgrounds, and have passed down that love of technology to our children.  We also homeschool, and are always looking for new and interesting ways for our kids to learn.  One of the main reasons that each of my older boys received iPods for their birthdays last year was so that they would be able to use them for education.  Cypher Kids Club Reality Cards and the app to go with them fits that perfectly.

I was very excited to be able to have the opportunity to try out Cypher Kids Club Reality cards with my kids.  They were able to play it on their iPods, and they really loved it.  Even my older boys learned some new things about animals with the cards.  It was super simple to set up and use.  They were able to do it without any help at all from us.

The first thing they had to do was download the Cypher Kids app from the iTunes Store.  There is a separate app for each set of cards.  The ones we chose were the Wild Animal Adventures Cards.  We chose them because I thought they would work well with all of my kids and plus they looked really cool.

This is how the Cypher Kids Club Reality Cards work.  Once you’ve installed the app you can scan the cards with your iPod, iPhone, or iPad.  It then will display the animal in 3D on your device.  It also tells you important information about the animal you’ve scanned.

You can also put it into Picture mode which allows you to take close up pictures of the animals and put them into your photo gallery.

One of the things that they really loved about the Cypher Kids App is that they could all play  it together at the same time.  They were   so cute and very excited as they played with the app and shared what they were learning as they were learning it.

The Cypher Kids Club Reality Cards and App are definitely very cool.  The graphics are wonderful, and it’s like the animal is just coming up out of your screen.  We can’t wait to try out the other ones.

Cypher Kids Club Reality Cards can be purchased at select Target stores in the electronics section.
