Do you guys remember the giveaway I posted last week? The person who could guess the closest to my total for my shopping trip would win a $5 Dinner Mom Cookbook.
This cookbook is so awesome! I got one last month, and it has so many great recipes as well as money saving advice.

8 bags of Mahatma Long Grain Rice @ $1.19 each with 8 x 1.00 off coupons = 1.52
8 Yakisoba Noodles @ $.79 each with 8 $1.00 off coupons = (1.68)
20 Bird’s Eye Veggies Some SteamFresh & some regular variety $21.70 – $26 in coupons = (4.30)
I had a mix of $.35 off, $.50 off & combined with the $1/2 Publix coupon from the Yellow advantage buy flyer.
Strawberry Shortcake deal:
7 Sara Lee Poundcake $1.89/each = $13.23
7 Cool Whip at @.90/each = $6.30
7 packs of Strawberries @ $2.00/each = $14.00
Total for SS deal: $33.53 – $19.25(7 of the $1.75 off strawberries coupons & 7 peelies for $1.00 off Strawberries wyb cool whip) = $14.28
8 Arm & Hammer Toothpaste $1.50/each = $12.00 – 4 $2.50 off 2 coupons = $2.00
So far we’re at $11.82..not bad for all that!

That’s a total of almost $100.00!!
I usually try to spend around $50-$60 so this was a terrible trip, but I did get alot of stuff! Also, in my defense, I didn’t shop at all the week before so I could count this as 2 weeks worth:) My total savings was $181.81
