A big part of our budget is spent on eating out. Alot of this is due to my hubby eating out every day during the week while he’s at work. The other source of spending on eating out comes from myself & the kiddos being out for dr appointment, homeschool coop, field trips, etc and not having dinner ready or planned when we get home.
Eating out can get expensive and is often unhealthy. Not to mention that it’s difficult eating out with 2 kids with food allergies(very difficult). With that said I’m planning a new feature on Mondays where I will share my menu plan for the week with you all.
I’m going to post it on here so it will help me stick to it, and maybe give you guys a little inspiration for your menus this week.
I have a couple of challenges this week. The first is that this week will be very busy so I’m going to use my crockpot as much as possible. Most of the dinner recipes can be made in the crockpot so I will prepare dinner for the day in the morning. The other challenge is that I’m out of bread. I will have to crank up my bread machine this week to make up for it because we are not grocery shopping until later this week. I love being able to just throw in a few ingredients & have homemade bread waiting a couple of hours later. The bread machine is awesome!

I LOVE rice pudding! What a great idea for breakfast! Congratulations for planning out 3 meals/day! I can only manage to plan my dinners, so far, anyway! 🙂 (Found you from Menu Plan Monday!) 🙂
Good luck sticking to your menu plan. I cut my eating-out budget way down by menu planning and making a little extra to take as my lunch. I hate eating at my desk, but it beats spending so much money eating out!
Your menu plan for the week looks great. It save’s so much money over time to make a food plan for the week. I have been doing it for years, it really does work.
Thank you for sharing.
