A note from Holly: I am on vacation this week, and Cris from GOODEness Gracious so generously offered to share this fabulous guest post with us.  This recipe looks so delicious & easy to make.  Enjoy & be sure to go check out Cris’s site!

Hello iGOBOGO readers! This is Cris from GOODEness Gracious where we cook up all kinds of GOODe
things with a side of life. I am so thrilled to be sharing one of my favorite recipes with you today.

Truth be told, as a self-proclaimed FREEZE-O-RAMA mama, I just love freezer cooking to save money and
time in my kitchen, however today I am sharing a recipe that uses the freezer a little differently.

I have found a great way to save money at the grocery store is waiting right in my grocer’s freezer.
Frozen meats are often significantly cheaper that their meat case counterparts when the sales aren’t in
my favorite recipe’s favor. In this case our family’s Juicy Chicken Marinade was the recipe of choice.

This bag of boneless, skinless chicken thighs—a favorite cut for my family’s grill—was just $5.99 and
it holds enough chicken to offer 2-3 family meals or a great option for dinner with company. If I had
bought the same cut fresh from the meat case I could have very well paid that price for a third of the
amount of chicken.

Now truth be told, I often take the bag right out of the freezer and add my marinade to the back itself.
That way as I thaw my chicken, it gets busy marinating!

I have altered this recipe over the years to fit our family’s taste, but the marinade starts with a can of
beer (or you could use root beer or cola if you prefer to cook without alcohol)

Add 2 T Lawry’s Seasoning Salt

Fresh Ground Pepper to taste.

Then add 4 green onions chopped.

Press a couple cloves of garlic in.

Now add ¼ Cup each of brown mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

Now seal the bag and place it in luke warm water. Change the water approximately every 20 minutes

until the chicken thaws completely. Mix bag contents each time you change the water. The chicken
should be fully thawed in 1 ½- 2 hrs. Now it is time to grill baby!

Place chicken smooth side down on grill and cook over medium heat until chicken releases easily. If it
doesn’t release easily, it isn’t ready to flip- Mama always said patience was a virtue ;). It should be ready
to flip in approximately 15-20 minutes. Then grill for an additional 10-15 minutes until juices run clear.

Now that is a plate full of juicy yumminess! There you have it, grilled chicken that cuts out tons of fat
without losing the flavor or breaking the piggy bank. Now that is the perfect meal in my book!
